Hi,
Our budgie has PBFD and we're wondering if we could safely get him a finch or a canary for company, or whether the infection might spread to them. Researching on the internet suggests that while canaries and finches are also susceptible to circoviruses, the strains are host specific, which suggests that a budgie would not potentially infect a canary but I can't find anything definitive. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks
