Hi everyone here. I am a newbie here but not to birds. I have many birds over the years but thought I'd join here as I have just bought a bird I have never kept before, a turquoise parrot. I currently have 6 canaries and I put him in there yesterday after I was assured by the breeder and reading various webistes on turks that would be OK. So far the canaries are wary of him as is Anzac (his name and hence my user name) but hopefully that willl settle. I heard my lead canary singing yesterday so he must be slowly accepting him. I mainly came onboard to ask questions about turk husbandry but I'll post that on another topic so not to bore people under the introduction thread.

Hi and welcome from another west aussie ;D Turks are gorgeous but I've never kept them. it does sound like your canaries are getting used to him.
