Hi again
As a lot of you would know, I am building a rather large aviary to house King, Princess parrots and some neophemas.
Just asking what size wire would be a good happy medium between the strength to handle the King parrots but small enough to keep the neophemas in??

12.5 x 12.5 mm opening and the medium gauge weight of wire - about 1.4 mm thickness I think.
Any larger opening - the next size is 12.5 x 25 mm - make it easy for large mice and small rats to get in as well as snakes big enough to eat a Neophema. Strictly speaking using a lighter wire - 0.9 mm gauge - would be OK for Kings and Princesses but you might change you mind in a few years and want to keep others species, possibly with stronger beaks that could chew up lighter wire.
cheers,
Mike

Exactly as Mike said, the 0.9, 12.5 x 12.5 would be fine. He's point on later usage of the aviary is worth considering. The down side to the 0.9 is when you attach bowls etc. directly to the wire, it is not as rigid.
