Am very sad about having Charlie adopted out but it is the right thing for the bird. Charlie has gone to the right place, no doubt about that. Flossy is mad about birds and Charlie will respond eventually it's just that he/she is a very opinionated individual who doesn't take to change very well. Am amazed at how difficult this has been because Charlie adopted me, not the other way around. I know he is in good hands and will adopt his new home as easily as he did mine. Thanks Neil! Don't stress...I will take good care of our little Charlie. You have done a great job with him so far. Greencheeks can be little buggers, but he will come around. I'm not pushing him too much, just gaining his trust and letting him be. He is inquisitive, so it won't be long before he joins in the fun...lol. Thanks for allowing me to adopt your little man, and don't worry about him.....he will be as mental as the rest in no time at all...lol. You can come and check on him anytime too Neil....my door is always open.....

Well look into it Elyse.........you never know, there may be a calling for it? Ask at Pet shops etc do they get many enquiries? Gosh, I'd have to pay a fortune if it was per animal! lol..... No holidays for me for a while I guess! Oh well, I've been married for 25 years and still haven't been on a honeymoon....so whatever right? lol Flossy

People who come to your house, do the feed & water & change the cage papers etc. Don't stop at birds though (but make sure people know you specialise in birds) or the demand mightn't be enough. Walk the dogs, feed the fish, learn how to do fish tank water change. Sounds like there could be something in it.

My late brother (who bred budgies) used to 'pet and house sit'
He loved it, as it was like a holiday for him (being somewhere different, pets to play with, and gardens to water etc)
There is a demand for it, but he got into it through friends of friends of friends etc.
He wasn't paid, but lived in the home using all the home facilities.
