Well for me, it's usually a good excuse to catch up with a few mates. However, bird trading is a large aspect of these bird sales/shows. Good place to check out what's around and their going rates.

Gee, I'm glad I asked. I had googled and assumed it was the ANBS being held at Jeffs Shed this weekend.
I guess it will be signposted once we get there, but is there a particular pavillion to head for and what sort of entry fees should I expect if I take the whole family and could I expect to buy a h/r tiel there too. Sorry about all the questions. Just trying to work out the logistics of it all.
Thanks kath

Kath,
Afraid that I can't really answer many of your questions. Have never really paid before...mates have always shouted me in. Doubt that it costs very much anyway. You definitely should be able to get a h/r tiel there. Saw plenty of them past years.

Thanks for that Frank. I misread the ANBS notice anyway - its end of May not end of March. Would have felt a right dill turning up at Jeffs Shed for the wrong show on the wrong date. Need more sleep. Hope to see some forum members there, if everything goes to plan. :

Glad to hear everything went well at Melbourne on Sunday. Sooo disappointed I had to miss it.
So there is one in Geelong at the weekend ........?
When is the next one due for Bendigo? (a bit closer for me than Geelong) - or is there one in Wangaratta?

Hi Kath yes iwas very pleased as i am normally critical of the sales as i always see a lot of young birds tucked in a corner of these little cages fretting and bleeding a real put off but the melbourne sales last week was a huge improvement.Bendigo has one on the 1st May at the the school on the highway this one is usually a weekender for the family and very well attended. If you click on the calender all the sales are listed for each month, the calender is located below the banners date cheers Frank
