Frozen , wrapped in plastic and ready to cook is so different to what you have running around the yard , it is easy for me to eat bought chicken . Ive even eaten home grown chicken ( wasn't very pleasant ) ( my chooks ) without a problem .
And yet I'm the one you see on the side of the road picking up injured birds / animals all the time .
Contradictory aren't I .

I don't eat any meat and haven't for the past 13 years. I haven't had any of the animals usually eaten by humans as a pet but the cruelty and factory farming horrifies me. I just don't have the stomach for it.

I raised chickens for a while. I did have some special ones althought it didn't stop me from eating chicken but it had to come from the supermarket. My son breeds cattle eventually for the table but i had to draw the line when he labled the packet with the name of the bulls. That was a bit hard to swallow.

I still eat chicken and have always had pet chooks in the yard. Roast chook is heaps different to Henny Penny and the rest of the gang.

I remember when I was little (a long time ago) and we kept chooks with a rooster. I still remember my mother cracking eggs into the frying pan with baby chicks developing in them Never put me off eating chicken or eggs for that matter
