I am interested in getting a back yard aviary and starting breeding. I have never bred birds before. I have had a Galah (whom we lost), I had a Cockatiel when I was growing up, we had a Red Tail Black Cockatoo, we fostered a Corella for few months and we now have a Ecky whom I have been hand feeding as he was still on 3 feeds a day when we got him. I am wondering which would be the best bird to start with? Obviously if I have missed a bird you would recommend off the list feel free to let me know. I would love to go for Galahs, I love Galahs, But not sure if that is jumping at the deep end. Should I start with something smaller like The good old budgie? Thanks in advance.

Hi Aimie budgies are really easy to breed, mine breed like rabbits so i have to remove the nest boxes. Fro What i've read in other threads galahs are hard to breed, my uncle hasn't had any success at all. I'm sure cockatiels would be easy too.
