Hi, I'm thinking of getting a playmate for my Pineapple Precious. Does it matter if its male or female. Will two females or two males get along? Also, I like the sun conures - they are so pretty. Would a sun conure be allright or should it be another green cheek? I plan on keeping them in separate cages so they still bond to me but let them out together to play. Or, do I have to have separate cages? Thanks for the advice. Regards Montana

It doesn't really matter with conures - I've found that tow males or two females will get on well with each other, and as I said before, a Sun will very likely be accepted by Precious as well. But, as I also said before, if you get a mate for Precious then you will very likely find you will lose some of the bond you have with Precious (assuming he grows out of his current rebellion!)
cheers,
Mike

Hi and thanks. Precious is still being a little stand offish. I don't know whats going on with him/her? I just don't like to see birds alone. Although I am not getting two Greys. I think one Grey is all I can handle. Should I keep whoever I get for Precious in a separate cage? I don't want them to go all wild on me. Have a good day. Regards Montana
