Hi everyone.
Can't believe it's been so long since I was on here last, but I have had some health issues. I never thought I would have to worry about cancer at 28 but someone had other plans, I have battled along and am coming out the other side now.. So here I am... back...
Anyway Back to Jax. He is doing great, 17 months old now becoming a big boy.
I bought him a harness back in july and tried him with it but didn't have much luck because he doesn't like his back or head being stroked. So there was no way he would let a weird looking thing go anywhere near his head or back. I gave up trying after a while and it has been sat on the top of his cage ever since. Yesterday I saw some photo's of a bird in a harness and thought I wonder if i could try the training again, I placed him on the back of a chair and was ready for him to just move out of the way when it came near... but surprise surprise he just stood there and let me put it on, not a care in the world... I was so shocked i thought surely I haven't done this right? or has someone switched my bird? once he let me put it on he surprised me again as I thought he would try to pull at it and attempt to remove it, but it was like he didn't even know it was there.
