A Red Macaw (Yesterday)

Hi Everyone,
I don't know of anyone around my area who has lost a Red Macaw but yesterday my step brother (just told me about this a minute ago...) told me he saw a red and blue bird yesterday. I showed him a picture if a macaw, he said it looked like the one in the picture, but was lying down when he saw. It flew away when he was within a few feet of it...

Much more likely a female Eclectus parrot - show him a photo of one of them - Eclectus are roughly Corella size with a fair short tail - Scarlet macaws are LARGE - with a very long tail, 60 cm or more

That's the first picture i showed him, but he told me it had a really long tail, i don't know many species of birds with long tail that are red and blue, i showed him one of a rosella (i'm not sure which one it was but the red and blue variety) he said it looked different though....
