Yesterday I brought home lorikeet #2- an Olive Rainbow who I have named Maylie. She is just GORGEOUS! and so BIG! Mr. Oliver (my scaley) is quite jealous and aggressive towards her at the moment, but I'm hoping in time they'll become good neighbors, and then happy roomies! (Link to a photo if the above doesn't work :http://www.flickr.com/photos/62025496@N08/9406899130/lightbox/ ) Unfortunately she's quite nippy (although not aggressively- just doesn't realize the difference between skin and not-skin) so I'll have to train her out of that. Otherwise she's a doll. Happy to come out for some shoulder time, tweeting away happily and entertaining herself with all the fun toys. Hooray!!!

My experience is that most lorikeets will end up friends, so it might take a little while for your Scaly to get over the intruder into his life but it usually is only a week or two before they start to appreciate each others company. cheers, Mike
