I Purchased a 6 month old Rainbow Lorikeet yesterday for my daughters 10th birthday the lady who sold him said he is friendly however he hasn't had much interaction with people in the last few weeks. when I got him home, he gets very defensive in his cage, will not come out of it willingly, but once out can be friendly will sit on your shoulder or hand etc. how can I get him to like leaving his cage? I want my daughter to be able to play with him not have him lock himself in his cage, ( the door is always open but he stays as high as he can
