hi, I am after advice and personal experience on colony breeding green cheek conures and wether or not it can be done? I have a male normal coloured green cheek at sexual maturity age who I use to have bonded with a cinnamon male but the cinnamon had gotten out and fled the coop so I had recently gotten another young yellow sided male in the hopes that he would also form a bond with him in which case I think he has as they are getting along quite well and have some type of bond or relationship present, but I had brought two silver (blue series cinnamon girls) who are sisters to pair with them and these three(females and yellow sided male) aren't at breeding age yet but will be in September so have two pairs in one big cage which is a ferret type cage, who have all bonded or are getting along quite well with each other at the moment I have two nest boxes in there for them to sleep in and just to get them use to and comfortable with me being round and playing around with cage with the nest boxes present while not in breeding stage they seem to all sleep in one nest box together presently and play in and out of them during the day so I am hoping and my theory is that because the girls are sisters and the males are getting quite bonded and tolerate each other and all of them seem to be getting along at the moment while not in breeding condition that I will be able to get away with breeding the two pairs in one cage and that they might help each other out or even nest in the one box going by how they share a box to roost now or split between the two boxes when the time comes.
