Hi, I'm new to this forum and new to owning bourkes! Bought my first one a week ago after finding him living alone in a pet shop - for a year! Felt sorry for him so brought him home. He's in a cage, not an aviary, (I intend to try to tame him so he can be let out) but has the company of my tiels who are out most of the time and spend a lot of time sitting on top of his cage which he loves. However, I want to get him a companion who can live with him. My problem is there are no bourkes for sale in my part of the UK. Could I get a finch to live with him? Or another small bird?
