I'm a vet nurse and just as we closed on Friday night a Lorikeet was brought in after supposedly being hit by a car. I took him home he didn't look like he was going to make it. I woke in the morning to a very boisterous bird. His right leg was very weak, he was having trouble grabbing my finger (it was almost non responsive). After around 12 hours and some diluted Spark he slowly regained his strength and was a bit wonky when he tried to walk. He's now doing great, he has improved so so much. The issue is he can't fly. I don't think he was hit by a car, no bones are broken. I think he fell out of a tree and was picked up on the side of a road. I'll be bringing home some antibiotics after work tomorrow (Monday) but other than that I don't know what else I can do. I'm worried he has a brain injury. He jumps to fly but doesn't open his wings properly. He doesn't have Runners Disease. If anyone has any advice to get him back out with his family please let me know. As it stands, if he hasn't improved by Wednesday I might have to euthanise him
