hi all, i am new to the forum, i will introduce myself and my avairy on the appropriate forum later... however i have some questions regarding my pair of peaceful doves.. this is my first pair, i have bred diamond doves successfully prior.
i know they are a true pair as i have seen the male doing his courting routine, prior to mating.. over the last four months, they have nested in four different spots, in one of the feeder trays, in the two platforms that i built for them.. they sit on the eggs continuously, but none have ever hatched, they sit on them until they finally abandon them. they never seemed disturbed when i am in the avairy or by the antics of the finches housed with them... the enclosure of the avairy they are in, is 1.8m high X 1.8m deep X 2.5m wide.. there are at present two pairs of Java Sparrows & 3 quails in with them.. they feed on the finch mix, they also eat the corn, carrot and greens i scatter on the floor for the quails. is there anything else i can add to finally get a clutch hatched ...
