Hi Bill,
I think I was just lucky...right place right time. Buyer saw my ad and was on his/her (wants to remain anonymous as s/he is fearful of theft of bird) way to buy a grey from QLD.

isn't it terrible how true that is? you don't tell people about your amazing feathered treasures for fear of people finding out your details and pinching them. I'd love to see their face when you deliver him to them Like little kids at christmas I'd think.

Yes, unfortunately, that is the state of today's aviculture. I, too, have very strict closed-aviaries primarily for that reason. No unauthorised people even know where my aviaries are established. Quarantine plays a very close second.
Alas, I've had quite a few birds stolen from me over the last few years and am not willing to give anymore handouts to these plebs.
