Are you getting answerers to your posts?

If not here is what you do.

Open your profile and click on "Bookmarks"

At the top right corner of the bookmarked posts page you will see manage you bookmarks, click on that.

in the bottom left corner of that window you will see a drop down window click on that and select email from the options.

You will now receive email notification of ant replies to posts you make providing you check the bookmark box when you make a post.


Here is another little hint you might find fun.

Once again click on your profile then click on Modify your profile.

Scroll down the list until you come to "Select Skin" click on the drop down window and select one of the titles listed there, there are only three at the moment but we are working on more.

Once you have selected the skin click on modify your profile at the bottom of the page and you have a new look forum.

To reverse the process just click on default and it will revert back to the old AussieBirds look.

I have a very important question to put out to all, can anyone tell me if its safe for my African Grey Parrots cage to be near our gas fireplace? Now that its getting coo,er will b using it and his cage is very close. Thank you Robinj60

I guess you are not in Australia Robin? It is getting warmer here as we head into summer. I don't see that there is a problem, assuming the gas heater/fireplace is well maintained, is not putting fumes out into the room, and the room has some ventilation.

Of course I am not an expert on gas heaters - here in Queensland we never get a frost and don't own a heater at all! Where about do you live?

From what i have heard as long as you you have ventilation as mike said
they should be fine or a flew gas heater.

I'm not worried about getting notifications about replies. I always go straight to the boards and look for myself anyway.

BUT, there's never any replies to my questions. And I notice the same thing has happened to other people when they ask specific questions.

Even if someone just piped and and said, sorry, I don't know the answer", at least that would show that someone is actually using these forums.

I've tried to do this but I can't find 'bookmarks' on my profile page? I've attached a screenshot of my profile page and one of my two posts.

Am I in the wrong place?
