Today I went to the pet store ( No, I didn't come home with anyone...yet) I went for my usual 1 hour of chatting. Anyway, one of their cockatiels, a male cinnamon something or other had a very nasty accident yesterday. He now has very poor balance, rolls his head from side to side and all yesterday had his head upside down. Today he is very responsive but still rolls his head and sometimes falls off the perch. He was whistling a lot and if it weren't for him moving his head around unusually you wouldn't guess anything was wrong. The thing is they are thinking of putting him down because of this very obvious head injury, He apparantly got out and ran into the wall. Do you think he might recover? becuase if they're going to put him down, I'll see if they will give him to me (although I'd say they will charge me for him) But I don't want to bite off more than I'll ever be able to chew.

poor little fellow...oh well..prob best off he is at rest now
