My rainbows have gone! Run away! They were playing the gargen as usual and then dissapeared. Its been 2 days now, with me looking for them everywhere, scouring the bush and called like a mad thing but nothing! I'm afraid that they're starving and freezing to death and I can't help them.

The best thing that you can do is call all the vets in your area and let them know to keep an eye out, put posters up, let any pet stores in the area know as well. Over here the RSPCA has a 'lost pet' service where you pay $10 and they do a thorough check of all the places (vets, petstores, their branches etc) for your animal, they may do something similar where you are.

do some door knocking and put flyers up everywhere, put an ad in the paper and on the radio and the vets and lets hope you get them back.

I've door knocked and letterbombed the area, called the only vet in the area. Nothing. I'm rural, surrounded by native bush and farmland. It's hard to look on foot, there is just too much area to cover. I've been getting calls about rosellas. But no lorikeets. My shoulders feel empty

Go check the rosellas just in case they don't know their breeds of birds. I have had so many people think that Skye is a rosella or a king parrot
