A blue cock and a blue lacewing (=blue pallid in Gencalc) hen will give all blue babies, with the cocks being split for pallid (lacewing).
If you had them the opposite way round, with the cock being the lacewing, then all daughter would be lacewings and all sons would be blue since lacewing is a sex linked gene.

Hm....I'm trying to use the genetic calculator, but I'm unsure as to whether my results are accurate. I have a visual blue male (genetic ancestry unknown) and a blue lacewing hen - white head, pale pale blue body, white tail (genetic ancestry unknown) I'm getting turquoises according to the calculator? It's not possible to get turquoise if you didn't select it.. turquoise is below blue from memory... (on both sides/genders) Click on "blue" not "turquoise" Visual blue for the boy (left side) Visual blue and Pallid for the girl (right side) |

Thats plagerisum Jo-Anne. Jamie if you can get permission from the author then by all means go ahead and do it but if you cant get it then you will leave your self and the owners of this forum ( me ) open to prosecution. John My understanding is that it must be a certain percentage of the book to become a legal issue.. but then, I'm more used to dealing with the legalities of Musical scripts... I don't THINK scanning up to 5 pages of a 150 page book will create issues.. especially if the name of the book is clearly visible... It would just encourage others to buy it 🤓 |
