Hey Eckie,
I've tried feeind strawberries and kiwi fruit but if just goes all mushy and makes the rest of the fruit inedible for the birds? Any tips on how you feed yours?

Speaking of chilli's, our kakarikis absolutely love hot chilli peppers and the rest of the flock eat them as well. The tiels love cinnamon sticks, the sun conures love grapes and dehydrated pineapple, the quaker loves blueberries and bananas.
If anyone wants a mixed back of dehydrated fruits and vegies I do sell them from time to time.

Hi Nova, My Lorie, wasnt a very big vege eater, as a matter of fact cant think of 1 that was eaten. Fruit on the other hand was scoffed. Try the sweet jucey stuff like oranges, mango's (ohhhhh boy did they go) apples, dip them in orange juice so the cut sides doent go brown, this could also be lemon juice but orange I found to "taste better" Are you feeding a "lorie dry" type food? If so you can mix the dry with juice and make a "slop" which was a fav. I bought bottles of baby juice so I could have different flavours and mix them up a bit, but not take up too much room in the fridge with 5 differnt bottles of juice. The small baby food fruits in jars, the pureed stuff always went and so did baby sweet potato mush in a jar,...ahhh theres a vege !! Throw in a few sultanas mixed with peanut butter and stuffed into pine cones, then add a few different dried fruits. Dryed apple rings with the hole in the centre and slipped over perches in another way of getting fruit into them. HTH sue

my guys, love passionfruit seeds, grapes and even the odd prune, as well as most of the fruits already mentioned, oh and another favorite is raw pumpkin, especially the seeds.

Here's another one to try - Dried Figs - our sun conures love them so does the kakariki and quaker.
