Aww I want a harness for Matches so i can keep him/her flighted. Won't use it much though but depends on the behaviour first to clip or not.

Really Wilsta it does provide safety for flighted birds to spend more time with their humans and to get out and about more don't you think? Better than risking losing them or clipping them severely.

I don't think it is cruel at all. I made one for Skye and it saved her a couple of times while she was out and about with me. Without it she would quite possibly not be with me anymore. She was clipped but it just gave an extra safety net in case she got a fright while outside with me. Once she got used to it she didn't mind too much.
