She is just playing...is that seed that you have there for nest materail....if so that is not a good idea..it con go moldly and if a bird digest any of that not good....but she is a very nice looking bird..what a cutie  Natalie |

It's a hollowed out log on the floor of the aviary, with pine shavings in it..The parents must take the seeds in there to eat..I only put the log in there for decoration and her parents took it on as there nest, even though there's plenty of nest boxes, they have raised three clutches in there over the last two years...There very protected, the aviary is in a large indoor setting out of the weather and no rodents can get in....But her parents have more eggs now and the one in the photo sits in there with them, or she will sit on the eggs while the mom goes and gets a feed.....There so fascinating to watch...
