What a top looking bird Robert. Is he what you call a cherry faced lovebird. You must be very proud of him. Cheers Anna

From Robert and Hercules.Yes I am very proud of Hercules. He is very cute and Healthy. This is a credit to me.But also it is a credit to him.As I really didn't teach him anything .We both taught each other.Hercules can do the splits ,lie upside down while I am holding him.etc.Also I am very thankfull to feed him ,The Rice Pellets,as he devours them.Hercules is not a cherry face lovebird. He is close to the original colour. To be exact. He is a Green /split olive Pied. What is sad is there really is no original colour peachface lovebirds left in Australia. All still to some degree have olive in them. There are those closer to the original colour, than Hercules.Terry White of the Lovebird Society in Queensland, among others, is trying to breed back,so hopefully in the future we can have the true colour, that nature provided.I do not understand this, but he told me yesterday, that the lack of the true originals has a big impact on the development of new mutations of the Peachface in Australia. Best from the both of us

Hi Robert, Hercules is a beautiful little Green Peachface Lovebird. What i can tell you is that green series lovebirds can not be split to green series nor can they be split to Pied. What this tells you is that Hercules is a regular Green Peachface, he may be split to blue but since he is just a pet, you will never know. That doesn't matter though as he is a beautiful bird.
There are in fact many regular 'wilt type' Peachfaces (Green) in Australia

Hi Robert, I'm a relatively new member here also, (only about 3 weeks I think) and already the advice I've received on my budgies has been exceptional. I also live in Brisbane, on the northside in Kallangur
