Hi everyone, important: I'sorry because my english is very bad. so, I hope you can understand me and this forum is good for me to learn my name is jean-marc and I'm from the city of le mans in france. my birds: cockatiels, cyanoramphus parekeets red-fronted, conures: pyrrhuras frontalis green and fallow, pyrrhuras molinae.(pairs) blue ring necked (pair), superb parrot (pair), king parrot (pair) alexandrine (pair), african grey (5) 2 pairs and one home. and I'm waiting for a pair of patagonian conure. I love australian parrots, cockatoos like major mitchell and other but here in europe they are very expansive... last junary I was in youre WONDERFULL country and it's was terrible for me to hear and see the big white cockatoos in the city of sydney...... I visited the blue mountains and that was like a dream.... I hope to visit again australia as soon as possible but it's not really close to my home so, I'very happy to be with you and I hope to meet nice people here. regards, jean-marc.

Hi and welcome Jean-Marc. What a wonderful collection of birds you have. OMG I can't believe you have 5 african greys, they are sooooo expensive and not very common here. I have a few of the same species as you, I have cockatiels, an alexandrine and a superb plus I have quite a few others too.

welcome and we have another member from France too her name is Clara. You sound like you have quite a lot of birds there.
Yes we know that our Aussie birds are more expensive over there and in comparison quite cheap here. Over here though the African greys and macaws etc are very very expensive.

Yes we do. I would love to have a hand reared red tail one day. Where I live we have loads of red tails and white tails both the baudin and carnaby subspecies in the wild. I think there's a pair of red tails nesting across the road from my house.

Sorry for the other members to have write in French for once oops Amicalement.

Hey that is not fair.....speaking in another language. ;D
Glad though that you two can communicate with each other though.
I too would love a black cockatoo and am considering getting one in the not too distant future (couple of years).
