Hi I hope you can help, i dont know if i am in the right place.
I found a bird and am trying to identify it for the found advert, as i am not having much luck with teh description.
It looks like a small parrot, about 15 cm long from head to tail end.
It is green in colour with a blue top of its head and red over its eyes and top of beak like a mask.
I can email you a picture if it helps
I dont know if this helps but it likes to eat apples
I am pretty sure it is a pet as it cant fly and looks to have had its wings clipped and seems pretty tame.
I would also liek any tips on how to look after it, at teh moment i am caring for ot like i used to care for my budgie.
Thanks for reading

The picture you sent me was a bit dark but I am pretty confidant in saying your found bird is a Kakariki. Kaks are pretty much the same to look after as budgies with the exception being they don't mind a bit of meat ;D give them a chicken bone, cooked, with a bit of meat on it and they will clean it up, other than that they eat a seed mix if budgie seed with a small amount of sunflower seed added, fruit and vegitables.
They are native to NZ and make great pets, I have heard reports of people with Kaks that talk, although I have never heard one.
