Well wouldn't you know it, just when you give up all hope of your budgies ever laying fertile eggs, you go in the cage to do a regular feeding and boom 2 roughly 10 day old babies in one of the nest boxes making as much sound as they can ;D i'll keep this post updated and will post pics in picture forum  |

Yep I know the feeling, I am in the process of changing my budgies around and I have started sorting them out into breeding pairs I have chosen three pairs that I am going to make the basis of my breeding stock and separated them from the aviary at the moment, the rest will go up for sale, then I will do some repair work on the Aviary and start replenishing my stock, buying birds from different breeders to avoid getting related stock. That three pair will have to go up to four pair as on the weekend I found a box with four babies in it all healthy and mum is really looking after them and they look like being nice babies so that will be another pair I will keep ;D.

well down to 2 babies as the 3rd one died, but the 2 i got photo's of have grown heaps |

I love babies and pics...perhaps that is why I h/r some canaries.
I have some new chicks here (chooks) and they are beautiful....I really must buy a camera!
