Oh I was just reading this for the first time and was going to tell you my experience with taming two sulfers and a galah which I suspect to have been wild caught. I bought them from pet shops about 20 odd years ago. I was shocked to see he had passed away. I am also shocked to read that people starve their birds to tame them down. That is disgusting.
I am very sorry for your loss too, you sounded like you were doing so well with him too.
