Have to share this with all, might not seem funny as I tell it, as I think it's one of those "you had to be there" stories.........
A couple of weeks ago a police car pulled up at my place & in walks 2 policemen. My daughter on her way out met them at gate, when she asked who they were looking for they said "don't know yet, we're here to pick some ladies brain about cockatiels"
So one (Rod) has c/tiels & is asking me all these questions about how to tell their sex, breeding etc; the other just came along for the drive.
Off they go, happy with info I could give them.......
Last week back he (Rod) comes again, this time with another policeman who obvisiously has come for the drive also. Rod had forgotten if it is the male or female who has the stripes under tail. I tell him male has no stripes, as he is about to leave, I asked him do u remember who has the stripes & he says male, WRONG !, so I says there must be a way I can get u to remember the males has NO stripes............Well I says just remember males have NO brains........
holy crap, did that go down like a lead balloon or what........the young cop says real seriously "That's a bit harsh" & Rod says "I think we should arrest her!" (I sure he was only kidding) I says "hey I'm only joking" all went quiet & off they went......don't think he will forget who has the stripes now, do you?
Maybe I should have played it safer & said males have no sense of humour!

We have two family members that are in the police force, and they both have the dryest nature when it comes to jokes....actually they are the ones that love to play the jokes on us........think it's an outlet for them as they have to be so serious when the are at work.

I remember when Ken saw my brother sitting in his car waiting for his wife Merley.....Ken was on patrol at the time with his partner.....what they did was get my brother out of his car and had him spread eagled over the bonnet doing a search...poor Merley was walking up the street with an absolute look of horror on her face at wot the the cops were doing, till she got closer and saw who it was with a big grin ear to ear......
