wow you were very lucky its a bad feeling to see your bird out in the trees it happened to me with a kakariki and i hosed him down worked a treat

Gosh, I bet your heart was racing, it has happened to me too and you think of all these horrid things that go thru your head in a milly second.....what if this and what if that...and then you manage by shear luck to catch them.....and for all that anxiety you feel like spanking their bottoms......oh but ya love them, they can be just like naughty children. I have a story much like yours Indy, Ill post it later today for you to have a laugh

Hi indy, i had a parent raised lovebird that got away and he was just flying around our house and at one stage he was hanging upside down on one of our palm trees, he got a bit too cocky and was flying right past me and i caught him in the net. Now he is like a handraised bird and will almost eat out of my hand!!!!

Thanks guys, now i know these stupid things don't just happen to me... hey i didn't even think at the time to get the hose, i can't even remember thinking at all, i was to wrapped up in this little scenario. I do feel very lucky that we had caught her though.
