Karen just a worry about the kakariki babies. They look like they have been plucked by the Mum. All their grey fluff has been pull out. They should have more feathers on their backs.

Yes, They are lovly bubs! I agree. Does look like the liitle fella's have been plucked. Hopefully mum has stopped, and they will start to grow back. Just keep an eye they can fly and dont get cold when they fledge.

Siblings together, photo's taken 10-9-2006: Baby 1 likes my left shoulder: Baby 2 likes my right shoulder: I had to remove the babies from the parents today as they are being plucked & when I checked on them today found the parents have stopped feeding them. I am trying to do the handraising but gosh it is difficult! Both babies have different personalities! I had some success with getting them feeding today thanks in all ways to SMILEY for her wonderful help and assistance with this, without her I would be lost as I have not handraised anything except 4 week old budgies.

Unfortunately both babies died. I had to pull them & try to handrear them. I think I should have pulled them sooner as mum & dad had stopped feeding them.

When pulling babies I always pull them at the first sign of trouble but it's hard to judge. I'm so sorry you lost them they just break your heart at times.
