Well I am getting a new baby boy (dna'd) alexandrine. He is just an egg at the moment, so it will be a bit of a wait, but how exciting is this??? ;D
I am buying him from Petiel ;D I have seen pics of her birds and they look lovely.
I had looked into freighting an adult bird from Victoria, but the logistics of trying to get someone to look at him then get him to airport plus the carry cage etc, then stress on the bird etc. It is too difficult.
I am so looking forward to a new baby ;D
just thought I would share

Oh that is fantastic Tracey. Will you be handraising him yourself?

Not entirely..........probably from about 4/5 weeks. Petiel knows more about it. She gets them dna'd with blood and i think she said it takes about 2 weeks for the results to come back, from when she removes them from the nest. I hope I explained it right.

Yes Tracey you explained it well. They are about 4-5 weeks when I know for sure what I have in the nest , most times I do have a good idea when I take them out of the nest. The pair you will be getting your boy from mostly give me boys. They are due to hatch around about the 16th August. It is up to you Tracey when you would like to take over the feedings.
