Okay,as you know l went to Epping for a Superb Parrot but come back with Jimmy the tiel.Unfortunatley when you travel that far l couldn't go home empty handed.Might carry some handcuff's with me next time..he.. On Sunday l am gonig to Windsor to buy a 2 year old male Superb Parrot,females are hard to find at the moment so my search for more parrots is not ended yet ;D ;D ;D

to late...got that bug again  turned down overtime and went today and bought the Male Superb,he is 2 years old Couldn't be happier ,thanks also Jane for your input in mixing birds, well done  Couldn't believe how big these parrots are, he is bigger than my Rosella's... He has settled in well since arriving home and enjoyed a good feed especially green's with the flock so looks like no problem there.All l need is a female Superb now for Petra my wife feel's sorry for it alone..  Oh! and yes l have pic's "plenty" thou will only show about 100 nah(just kidding) my favourites (about 50"kidding again') Send them tonight once l download them. This breeder had massive avairies with many breeds...what caught my eye also The Regent parrots how are they in a mixed avairy  |

Yay for Greg he's got the polytelis bug You'll have to get regents now to complete your collection You are lucky you can buy regents down your way, I am still looking for a girl for my boy, but only see the occasional (once every 3 months) pair up here for sale. (oh except 1 hen for which they were asking 150 which is 3 times the book price although I'd pay up to 100) My regent boy causes no trouble at all in with everyone. I'm very happy you got your boy and look forward to the piccies |

pic's are up and l am sleeping over the Regent's.......... they have great colours and small beaks also... l noticed which is great for a avairy with my other birds So guess what's next.. Tracey this confessional is not good for me..lol.. will have to start nailing again..lol.. |

Have a pair of Regent Parrots to pic up this Saturday  Can''t wait l have noticed with all the new parrots l have and bought compared to what l have there beaks are the same size,which is great...just don't want to know ..lol..about any others..he..  otherwise guess what ..he..lol.. |

I am buying the Regents this Saturday :)and have people looking out for a female Superb for me as well,thou while we are in breeding season now... l doubt l will find one for my boy  . He has never had a mate before either, so he can wait for this season's.. ......Silvercloud ......you are naughty ...l have been thinking about this breed as well I have been busy the last couple of days making nestbox's for my new arrivals here is one of them(60cmX30X25) ENTRANCE HOLE 90CM  Inside the box l alway's spray with water to bond the material and give it a natural look... I also file the rim of the wire, used for climbing so it is smooth so the young don't get sharp cuts.  Here it the nestbox in position..  |

Lovely nest box Greg I hope the regents are grateful and reward you with many bubs The bargainbird kingdom (is it called) in Melbourne keeps advertising on petlink that they have young superbs for $40 for that price it'd be okay to pay extra for a dna test maybe if they're anywhere near you. Can't say I can find a hen anywhere up here, I see the occasional pair for sale but that's all and I tried wanted on petlink and wanted in the parrot society mag & online and not 1 reply I have the same problem with regent hens. |

Yes Bargainbird kingdom do that(advertise every bird possible)???thou l am still waiting for a photo of his Superb youngster now ?? 2 weeks ago ..he.. When l go up to pick up my Regent pair, apparently the breeder l am buying from, knows of some other breeder down Rosebud way,, l will ask if he has a spare hen while l am down that way for you. |
