Courtney glad to see little GC is settling it. I know it will be a hard job to tame down the little bird, but if anyone is going to do it, it will be you, I have seen you with Matches and my alex Vincent and the birds really take to you. I have seen the cage you have GC in and its a good size for a Greencheek. Was GC handreared and then put back in a aviary? He does sound like he is used to people.

No apparently she was parent raised?? She was there to be sold as a "to be breeder" in the future. I am almost certain maybe someone has snuck in the avairy with her cos she isnt tame but she isnt at all wild like some of the cockatiels I've tamed were. I cant believe how fast she runs though, its like trying catch a spider. She is so cute! I am going to look for a bigger cage for her even though this one is plenty big enough.
The main reason im surprised she was parent raised is cos she has had so many opportunities to bite me hard enough to draw blood but hasnt. She has bitten but not hard.
Maybe thats what i should do LOL...ill be the bird tamer LOL. Send them down to me pauline and ill tame them for you!! ...We will see how this girl goes first.

Gee I din't even give a thought about the bird carrier as my bird carrier or one of them anyway is a parrot cage that only just fits in the door of the car.....when position on the correct angle. I just assumed everyone had one like that It does sound like you are doing well with the GC and I hope it continues for you ;D you do seem to have the knack for taming/training them.

Haha courtney u bad girl!!! i tend to birng animals home all the time- roosters, chooks, sheep, birds, some times stray animals, and my most common vice... cathing the feral kittens taming them and vacc, worming and desexing them and then giving them all away for free. lol. the way i see it is it is better thsan them being shot and someone gets a lovely little pet! Sounds like your GCC is a great little girl, dads always get over the fact that you bring home animals- dad always yells at me when i bring home new rescues but about ten minutes later he is giving them cuddles.. strange how they work

Yeah dad had another sook last night. Eh..If i do end up having to give her away ill make sure the person will look after her properly, i am not giving her away yet...ill see how dad goes.
Ok she seriously must have had a bit of human contact or something. Or this "monkey see, monkey do" thing must work FAST! Otherwise I must have just picked a winner. Matches is a bit funny about her, she hates it when i hold her and gets jealous when i scratch her...Matches doesnt even like scratches, she's being a wuss. The green cheek isnt worried about Matches. This morning the little green cheek fell asleep in my shirt while i was scratching her..SO CUTE!! Still yet to be bitten.
Matches has been really grumpy with me but im not putting up with that. She still hasnt regurgitated YAY!
The green cheek doesnt like sitting on your hand or shoulder long, she jumps and RUNS. This morning i had her sitting on my bed eating seed and playing with toys, she likes to snuggle. I can't believe i havent been bitten yet. Oh hahah last night i had her in the bathroom and she climbed up the DOOR!! So funny but i didnt want her to fall cos her wings are clipped. Can't wait til she is tame enough to have them back. But yeah she LOVES scratches its so cute!!
