Hey...this Qld stuff is all new to me !! I have no idea what the place is like...should I be depressed or rejoicing?? I'm gonna miss my beautiful NSW (but I certainly don't miss SA - no offense to SA dwellers ) So whats this north and south stuff....are you all the AB South Gang or something? LOL PS. Should I explain...we are moving there coz my hubby is in the army and is being posted there next year, to the 8th/9th division, in Enoggera, so we assume the army house we're gonna get will be somewhere in that area?? Is Enoggera a real sh*t hole or something ?

No Enoggera is fine, best known for the army barracks of course You'll love Brisbane its always lovely here. Just southsiders like the southside and can't understand why anyone would live "over there" and naturally vice-versa for northsiders. (sides of the Brisbane River of course) I am of course a biased Southsider ;D

Hahaha you QLDers are as bad as Perth people over here. You're either from North of the River or South of the River (Swan River) and very parochial about it. I moved from north to south one time and people couldn't believe I would do such a thing hahaha. The best move I made was coming to the south west. It's gorgeous and it's NOT the city ;D

Oh and just to make you all jealous, here's a pic I took at my last house which is just around the corner from where i live now. Here's just a few of the flock of galahs. Where I live now there's even more.

Well I live in Central Qld so beat that you Brisbanites ;D
I personally think Galahs are quieter and less demanding than Cockatoos (sulfers) from my own personal experience and not quite as destructive either (beaks are little smaller in Galahs too).

Great pic Jules I would have loved a camera the other afternoon my horse was in his night yard which is about 600m2 maybe anyway there where 32 sulfur crested 'toos and 5 long beaked corellas on the ground and the fence with him.

I breed and sell hand raised galahs in the uk, they sell for around $1600-$1700. i would say they make great pets my breeders were all hand raised and are easy to work with 1 hen sits on my head while i ring her chicks.
