Hi all!
First of all, thank you for all the help you provided during last 10 months, since we've had our Scaly Lorikeets. They are a great joy and can be an absolute pain in the rear (especially Sputnik, who we think is a female)
Anyways, I am about to order a larger cage for them on eBay and just wondering, what would be a safe wire spacing ? Most of large-ish cages have bar spacing of 2cm+. I am not 100% on the safety, i.e. is there any chance that they could get their heads stuck in between ?
Thanks in advance!

I would think 2cm is pushing the limit on bar spacing for scaleys. If they are hand raised and come out to play then the flight cages that measure 60cm long by 40cm wide by 90cm high are ideal. They are light to move around, easy to clean, have pretty good access and most importantly, have plenty of room for 2 scaleys and toys, provided they come out for a play time. Just my opinion though.

I agree with Summit about wire spacing - 20 mm max for Scaleys. Also there is an exercise cage about 75 cm by 45cm by 90 cm high worth looking out for - good size for a pair and room for a nest box. Shop price is about $145 without stand.
cheers,
Mike
