I hate to be a party pooper but my Avian vet is not keen on putting rope in with birds. He has very graphic photos of a cockatiel who had to have bits of the rope pulled out of his stomach. Quite a big bit too. Sorry everyone.

Laraine, Jim said he has used Boings with Gang Gangs for 10 + yrs and never had any problem, and that how bored and frustrated must a bird have been to chew on that much cotton? All birds must be provided with things to chew like branches but if their environment is so poor that the rope was the only thing to chew then that is sad.

yeahhh i think its bad for birds that over preeen ... is how come they do that with cotten toys ... i've also always used cotton boings and swings .. and never had an issue .. but i do have a friend who lost there cockatiel to eating cotten toys ... pay attention to what ya bird is up to and ya shouldnt have a problem i say
