congratulations. You will have to post pics and tell us more about him. Galahs are a lovely bird.......I have a soft spot for them ........ I know you guys here me say that everytime I comment on a galah.......but it is true, I do have a soft spot for them since losing my girl suddenly a couple of years ago.

He does talk, and he is tame although we think he may have been left alone for quite a while and has never really been taught any manners. He does not step up when asked and seems to try and intimidate people when he doesn't get his own way. So it will take us a while to get him how we would like him to behave, especially considering that we have not got a lot of experience He will sometimes attempt to attack people through the bars of the cage, whether that has something to with with being in a house that has more people who are constantly walking past his cage which he did not have before I am not sure. We think he may have been teased by children at some point because whenever our daughter walks past the cage by herself he hisses at her, this behaviour is slowly decreasing, she knows not to tease or provoke the birds in anyway and never puts her fingers in or near any of the cages. But most of the time he is a real sweety he loves having his head scratched and grabbing our fingers with his foot, just need to work out how to get him to let go

Galahs like most big parrots are very intelligent and they do not forget either. My galah was teased by some small kids and for years she hated Rhianna or anyone who was small. But as Rhianna grew.........Bo liked her more and more........but still disliked small humans. lol
