hey all i have jus got my self a pair of star finches!! there sooo cool, and would love to try and breed them! any info on this would be great! The golden rule is to NEVER have a look in the nest of Star finches - they will desert the eggs or babies at the slightest provocation, otherwise not difficult to get breeding given a settled aviary and good food. Robert's links will give you lots of detailed information so I won't go into all that - just remember not to peek! cheers, Mike

the only finches that do not seem to mind you having a look in their nests are zebras and societies (bengalese)
