Yes I have done it again. We went away on Sunday night, it all started bad, but ended very well. The start..........well I won't go into that....... The end.......I came home with more birds -------- of course ;D ;D ;D We bought 4 Blackheaded Nuns 2 Pictorellas 2 Sea Green Parrot Finches 2 Yellow Painted Finches. That's it! I thought that was pretty good for us - just 10 birds. And we didn't take the kids this time, I had plenty of room for more, but I wasn't allowed

Pics soon, just trying to leave the finches alone for a little while - because of the whole upset with the snake and all. And two days ago, we had to get in and fix the water feature up so there is nowhere for snakes to hide in the aviary.

I tell myself everytime we go away that we won't be buying anymore birds, but I have the lousiest will power around. I see something I want -- no make that something that WE want -- then we just have to get it. We did discuss selling some, and I am sure this is going to be happening very soon, but I just don't know what I want to part with. I do have a few babies to sell from this year, so they will be going for sure. Mick threatened my peach faces and told them if they didn't breed they would be gone (in his dreams) anyway, I had a good talk with them and told them I don't really care if they don't breed, but just try and bring out one baby to pacify Mick - well I only have five, and in this five I have three females and two males. Well they have pacified Mick because I now have 10 little babies. 2 nests of 4 and one nest of two.

I'll say one of them is a busy boy, they all seem very happy so I don't want to add another male into the flock just yet. I might wait until this lot of babies come out and then add one in. They can get quite nasty when they have babies.
