Chicks 1 & 2 have both fledged. Pity they are so stupid and fly head first into the wire! They both have bloodied faces.

You have a nice pair who have bred some nice offspirng
the father would be a lime split to opaline and the hen is opaline
the offspring are
Chick 1 is a cock bird Opaline split Lime Chick 2 is a hen probably a Lime Opaline Chick 3 is a hen as well but only a Lime this time Chick 4 is a cock and is normal like you said but a double split to lime and Opaline
Hope this helps you out

Thank you so much! I'm glad the girls are lime, I was lost by the washed out colour thinking they might be cinnamon lutino or similar. LOL shows what I don't know

yes they are definitely limes a cinnamon is a more brownish colour. Its hard to tell the difference between Lime, Platinum and Cinnamon but the shades of each one are different.
For your next breeding season i would pair them up as follows
Lime split Opaline Cock (Father) to a Blue Lime Opaline Hen Opaline split Lime cock (Young) over a Lutino Opaline split Blue Hen / Albino Opaline Lutino Opaline cock to Lime Opaline Hen (Young)
The other three are not as high quality as the three mentioned above but the above pairs should be looked at with high consideration to improve the colour of your birds

I'm not planning on adding extra to my flock unfortunately. I've currently got 10 but ideally I'd like to keep my number 8. Including the family of 6 from this post I also have: blue male, blue female, albino hen and normal male (who's father was split to cinnamon & lutino). I also breed other birds which is why the space is limited that I can dedicate to the red rumps. I would love more cages as these are wonderful birds but so are the others that I breed and I try to provide equal space to the birds for breeding. LOL I just can't choose.

Oh my, they are very pretty now. Nothing quite like a ring-in just to confuse the situation. Even though he is only a normal, he is still a cutey. They always seem to fly around crazy when they first come out. Makes you want to pad the cages with cotton wool. That or make them little stack hats!
