I have just had three Bengalese finches (I think you call them Society finches?) reach the perch. They look very healthy and the parents are great. Two pairs of Diamond Doves now with chicks. 7 Java chicks now three weeks old. Silverbills and Gouldians going made for nesting material. So things are looking really good so early in the Uk breeding season. Anyway I have an authentic Japenese metal cage hanging in my mixed flight. I stuff it with nesting material so they all can use it. It was running low today and I went to fill it up when I noticed a nest in the middle. I could see a chick so i took him out and could already see it was a Parson Finch about 14 days old. I am so excited because that is the first time I have bred parson Finches. I know they are native to your fine country but over here we don't have many around in aviculture. The Cock is split for cream and the hen is normal. I feel like the proud Dad!!!!!!!!! Pairs sell in the UK for approx £40 upwards. Thats about $80 Aussie dollars.

Congrats on your new baby. I enjoy the new ones hatching too, although I am having a battle to stop 2 baby creams from drowning in the drinking water. Good luck with yours
