hi all just notice my princess parrot is feeding his partner which is a blue female and then mating with another female which is of the wild color that he is. Can anyone explain if this is normal? Have not yet seen him mate with the blue. Am a bit confused.  |

Sounds like typical male princess behaviour - they can chat up anything on two legs with feathers, even quail:). See a clip at www.youtube.com/user/ausavinet#p/a/u/2/wimKchis_4s to see a male Princess chatting up a young female cockatiel. Hope you have two nest boxes - you may end up with two clutches of fertile eggs. cheers, Mike |
