From that list I can't go past the sun conure for the magnificent colour. RTB cockies come a ver close 2nd. Dissapointted to not see black headed caiques on the list also.

Just guessing because of some of the recent "animal" discussions and you mentioned Rupells ;D I just did a google on them they look like lovely little birds very attractive too especially when mature.

Yip, from Cape Town. Been here for about 10 months, need a better future for my kids. Was fortunate enough to have kept and bred some of the African parrots, but I think the Australian birds are awesome. I still can't get over the price of African grays here, considering I paid about 450.00 dollars a pair and the hand reared ones I had over the years were about 300 dollars each. On the opposite side it was between 800 and 900 dollars for a hand reared cockatoo and about 700 for a galah hand reared.

I keep to different breeds of chocks. Cuckoo's & Isa brown. No all my chicken's stay & sit down so l can pick them up , My cuckoo's come over for a cuddle all the time they are so sweet. Not to mention the biggest yellow yoke eggs. So cuckoo are great chickens because so friendly & quiet. Attachments:
