Interested to hear peoples real experience with them. From my understanding they are (being a pyrrhura species) very similar in behaviour to a GCC. They certainly are a beautiful bird.

Dear Bleedinggreen, I hon estly cant speak highly enough of the crimson bellied conures - they are one of my favourite pyrrhura conures... Yes they are similar to GCs - but - in my experience with our CBs they are more communicative - they have a body language all of their own and they use it with the inten to talk to you at every opportunity. Our pairs are very expressie (in a good way) and when we have them with us - they choose to stay with us rather than fly off to do their own thing.. They will fly from one family member to the next, to keep an eye on what EVERYONE is doing - then spend the most time with the person they can interact with the most (activity related) I feel they are worth every penny of the $2500 to $3000 per pair - absolutely stunning appearance and personality - naturally this is based on my experience with my pairs - otehrs may have different ideas based on their experience.... Hope this helps

Thanks Nasosipi,
They do seem to be very comfortable birds. Mine are quiet and so far proving a joy to keep. They are still young though so hopefully when I have them settled in their new aviary after the quarentene period they only becom more content.
