HI! I'm Stacey from Brisbane, and have just (last night) become the proud owner of a little green quaker boy named Yoshi (named by breeders sons). He's about 9 weeks old, and is so cheeky but lovely. We hadn't originally planned on getting him... but we met him after picking out a blue baby quaker which we'll be getting around Christmas. Yoshi was the last one left of his clutch, and because there were new babies around, everyone wanted a fluffy baby (I dunno why, cos it's not like they could have them until they were as big as Yoshi anyway!) instead of "old" Yoshi. He became a bargain bin parrot... the breeder desperate to find him a good home. Well, we fell in love... and took him home last night. We haven't even paid for him yet... the breeder (who is LOVELY) just wanted him to have a good home and get the attention he deserved. I've never had a pet bird before, so have much to learn... my partner has had cockatiels before though, but not for a long time. Very keen to get to know everyone, talk endlessly about our great flying family members and learn some important and helpful info.

welcome and wow a breeder who let you take a birdie home without paying first.......awesome ;D
I am sure you will be so happy with your little fellow and the new one. They do make lovely pets apparently.
I don't know why it is but people think the younger you get them (and by the way 9 weeks old is only just weaned so he is definetly still a baby) the better pets they will be. I am also glad that the breeder just doesn't sell them unweaned to anyone and everyone.
Yoshi sounds lovely and I am sure we all here can't wait to see pics of him and hear about his antics ;D
