Hi All,
I am putting out a request for any deceased birds for taxidermy. I am a visual artist using taxidermy and feel very strongly about only using birds that have died from natural or unavoidable deaths. I just thought I would post this request to all of your that have birds/or breed birds. I am happy to take any birds as long as they aren't suffering from decomposition. If you do have any-please place them in the freezer ASAP and I can come pick them up. I am located in Melbourne but am happy to come and pick them up (in regional vic too).
I am happy to pay for them. I can't afford much but I don't expect to get them for free. I will pay less than their selling price, not because I am cheap, but I feel from an ethical point of view there can be no incentive for anyone to 'provide' a dead bird at demand. (I am not suggesting that anyone on this forum would do this).
I really appreciate all of your time in reading this and considering it!
