WOW!!!..your place is beautiful! You have it set out so beautifully too.......may I ask what the tv commercial is for??...maybe we all may get a chance to see it! I am green with envy...you are one very fortunate lady to have things set up in such a wonderful display as you do! I really love the palms and ferns...it makes it so tropical..your birds must think they are in heaven! Jo-Anne ;D

Hi Jo Anne, thanks.......it's taken me five years of blood sweat and tears to get the yard the way you see it, when we moved in all there was, was a lawn, an old Hills Hoist and an old green-house and the palms, no gardens at all. With the rain we've had everything has sprung to life, I think the birds love the view only that they would love to get into it and munch away One of my clients sells water tanks, and they were looking for a nice lush back yard to produce their telly ad.........guess they liked mine ;D I'm still waiting for the filming date.

Great set-up so tropical and you're not even in NQ. The frames look to be timber is that correct......if so do you have any problems with the birds chewing them. I've found my guys try to act like beavers but I like the look of timber, doesn't look as 'clinical' as metal.
I know it has other problems as well but hey.........each to his own I guess

Hi Viraba, yes my aviary is timber, but I find that my tiels have so much tree branches, diozma and bottle brush to chew that they tend to leave the timbers alone.

Well as I mentioned in a previous post I was to have a TV Commercial filmed and it all happened this morning . geeeezz.....there were people ever where, film crew, actors a dog ......it was all go......and very interesting to watch. Funny thing....every one had a laugh at the tiels on the balcony because they were talking and wolf whistling I'll let you know when it goes to air, some of you may miss out as I'm not to sure yet what the viewer coverage will be. Oh and the commercial is for rain water tanks
