The pair sitting on the box are not a pair, unfortunatly, they are both hens. The one with his head out of the box below is the mate of the white face closest to the camera and he is doing his bit by sitting on the eggs. John

Great pics John. Looks like you have picked out some nice looking birds to breed. I never get tired of looking at the w/face mutation. I myself have stuck to the older mutations myself but when I saw the w/faces I fell in love with them. I am hoping myself to breed them next year, fingers crosssed Cheers for now Anna

They really are a striking bird Anna and like you i have fallen in love with them. I have been looking at Franks pictures of his birds at his website, it gives me something to aim for.

Hi John that is a very good example for striving to better the quality of your stock, the birds you have especially the Wfcad Cinn hen is a very nice looking bird.It has taken me nearly 13 yrs to be breeding the birds and quality i have at the moment and yet new breeders can walk off the streets and purchase these ready made quality birds, anyway John i can see that you are slowly getting the Tiel bug!! cheers Frank

Thanks Frank coming from you that realy means a lot to me . If i can breed birds that are half as good as yours I'll be over the moon. At the moment I'm still in the learning stage with Tiels but to be honest with you they are not a great deal different than Red Rumps to breed, the generics are certainly different but thier likes and dislikes as far as food and breeding conditions are concerned are pretty close. I am really starting to, as you say, get the bug and I am loving it. John
